In my opinion, the our economy should be majorly driven by the private sector. There is too much waste when government run key sectors.

Indeed this is Lamentation of the Naira and the effect and indicative end point is all true. Ever since naira depreciates against the major currencies, it has never regained substantially hence we may have to live with this status for a while that is if further depreciation of the naira is able to be curtailed.

Another fundamental solution to the problems of the growth of this country is true federalism where the 3 tiers of Government is allowed to function. I think also to save a lot of money going down the drain on recurrent expenditure, the country should be structured along six regions only and local authorities must not be more than 20 per region for administrative purpose only. We are already going towards a situation where state is created for each; it is not sustainable at all especially when we hear clamour for further creation of 15 states. What a waste…
