About 10 years ago, I was in Jss3 and I needed to pay for my Junior WAEC examination but things were financially tight for us. I got back from school on a Tuesday to tell my mother that I had been given till Friday to pay or forget about the exam.
August 2014; I was due to have my baby in the first week, and all I was looking forward to was my water breaking. The rest, I thought, would be ‘’sharp-sharp!’’ I wasn’t even counting the weeks of my pregnancy, I was just confident that everything was fine, but my mother, not so much.
I have a lot of beautiful memories with this GREAT and VIRTUOUS woman. She is indeed a Mother, a teacher, an epitome of humility, a priceless jewel and a role model. Sometimes I am moved to tears when I share some of the memories I have with her especially in my secondary school days.
