Frequent phone users are also exposed to this light rays, however, the effect can be minimal. Here are ways to take proper care of your eyes and shield it from too much light.
- Reduce your computer brightness
It’s best to work with a computer that does not exude too much light. Try adjusting the display settings of your computer to avoid straining the eyes. Reduce the brightness, make the temperature cool, and also consider using a font and contrast background that suits your eyes. The eyes do not appreciate dramatic lights and flash images. To confirm the impairment too much light does to your eyes, try this simple experiment: use a torch light to flash closely at someone’s eyes in the dark and watch how the iris instantly shrinks closer to the pupils in order to shield it from the excessive light.
- Avoid working in totally dark rooms

Exercising your eyes using the 20/20/20 rule can help boost its performance. Every 20 minutes of working on your computer look away to an object 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. This helps to relax your eye muscles and reduces fatigue.
- Take frequent breaks
Observing breaks while working reduces your risk of Computer Vision Syndrome and also prevents you from experiencing neck, back and shoulder pain. In a day, a triple 5 minutes of short break will go a long way to keep your eyes and body in good condition.
