After a successful showcase of her cloth-line at the 2016 GTBank Fashion Weekend, Lanre DaSilva Ajayi will be present again at this year’s edition of Africa’s most anticipated fashion show.
Lanre DaSilva started out with a love for mathematics, which she followed through to get a business degree. However, she dropped her degree to follow her passion for fashion; setting up the LDA brand in 2005.
While resident in London, Lanre explored her love for couture by interpreting various kinds of fabric ranging from silk, lace and even Ankara. Her works continue to gain international recognition, featuring in top magazines like Vogue, and making her the first African designer to have her label stocked at the Dolce & Gabbana Concept Store in the heart of Milan, Italy.
The LDA’s wide range of collections, which includes couture, prêt-à-porter, and fashion accessories, continues to enjoy widespread popularity and patronage within and beyond Nigeria. The delectable designer will be presenting her collections on the prestigious GTBank Fashion Weekend alongside other top designers like Julien MacDonald, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Taibo Bacar, Meena, and more.
