It’s been one week since the GTBank Fashion Weekend held, and its aftermath still lingers. The event, which attracted more than 20,000 guests in the space of two days, housed retail stores by 90+ vendors who made huge sales.
From shoe sellers, to hat makers, boutique owners and perfumers, the numerous fashion entrepreneurs sold a multiple times more than they would normally sell via their online and physical store put together. Speaking with Oluwagbon Oshinowo, Creative Director of Carpe Diem, who makes hats, facinators and bridal accessories, she said sales was great on the first and second day of the event, stating that she looks forward to the next event and hopes to get a retail store again.
One of the vendors who sold out at the GTBank Fashion Weekend was Oluwafemi Clothings, who majorly deals on corporate outfits for men and an add-on of female wears. He kept smiling at his mobile phone while the credit alerts dropped. As a second time vendor at the GTBank Fashion Weekend, Oluwafemi Clothings was conversant with the sales and discount tricks needed to sell big at such an event.
According to Hadi, No. 19 Cosmetics, Dapmod, Indulge 247, Peaches & Co, and some other vendors we spoke to, sales was inevitable and networking was one of the key things they enjoyed during the event.
“We at Indulge247 would like to say a Big Thank you for the opportunity to exhibit at the just concluded Fashion Weekend. We not only made sales, we connected with our customers from the Market Hub, Networked and Increased our client base. we couldn’t have done it without you. Our Experience Manager was super awesome along sides other Team members of GTBank. We are excited and we say Thank You as we look forward to Fashion Weekend 2018, “Jennifer Akpabio.
