You were the first person to meet me and the most consistent hello ever since.
You taught me wrong from right and helped me understand the things about myself I couldn’t.
Those that say they know me can’t understand that you knew me before I could understand myself.
I try to make you proud in the ways I know, I don’t know much so it may not always show.
I know you believe in me even when I don’t believe in myself; I know you believe in me even when I let you down.
I see all the sacrifices you’ve made on our behalf, youth and restlessness will move me to make selfish decisions despite.
Your quiet son with intense eyes was always watching, watching how you showed us your love with actions but rarely with words.
To say that I love you would be an understatement, but I pray I get to show you and the people I meet the manifestation of your love.
I love you mummy.
