The build-up to travels and some other family events often leave family members tired, grumpy, and hungry. One thing can take all that negative feeling away: Food. It did for these four.

My day started just like any other day, only for my parents to say we were going for a visit to our family friends (this was on a Christmas day). I alone was served a full roasted chicken, salad and white rice. After washing it down with chilled wine, I rested a bit and was served my first ever goat meat. It was the first time I ate garnished goat meat and it gave me much joy.

This happened on the 5th of November 2016 at Bolade Oshodi when I attended my cousin’s wedding. On that beautiful day, a round table was set with cutleries. During the item 7, to my surprise, I was served white rice and chicken sauce, fried rice, jollof rice, moi moi and salad with a big chicken lap, all in one plate. I asked myself how one stomach could accommodate all that food! The sweetness of the food didn’t allow me know when I finished the whole everything. That’s the highest food experience I have ever had.

My memorable food experience was when I was invited to a funeral by my brother’s wife. I was served small chops. Wow! The taste and the packing were different from the others. This is my food experience

I, dad, mom, and four of my siblings traveled from Jos to Keffi. Thinking it was not a long journey, we didn’t set out early enough. Unknown to us, time sped by and suddenly the preparation became like rush hour. We rushed to be on the road so as to catch all the scenes in the occasion we were going for with nothing in our bellies.
As soon as we arrived, we were served cold fura da nono. As we were drinking it no one said a word for about three minutes. That was the most memorable experience I have had with regards to food. We ended up arguing who enjoyed it the most, but I think I did, and now I am sharing it with you.
